Amnesty was granted (more or less) for illegal aliens during the Reagan administration of the 1980’s.  I was too young to really understand what the jibber-jabber was all about, but I do remember the anger and confusion in the eyes of those around me as they sat around the television speaking about the issue at hand.  Several years later I would speak to my parents about this event and it was confirmed that it was the issue of “Reagan Amnesty” that gave them so much consternation.  To this day, many of the conservative ilk (which make up at least one-half of the population today) still claim that the decision Ronald Reagan made to grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants was the lone “black eye” of his administration.  When asked to compare the act of amnesty to the “Iran-Contras Scandal“, the majority of Reaganites simply shrug at the prospects of Col. Ollie North receiving a $16,000 home security system (in conjunction with the funds accrued from the alleged sale of weapons to the Iranians in order to finance the Nicaraguan freedom-fighters) being even remotely close in comparison to the free gift of citizenship he (Reagan) gave to millions of law-breaking aliens.  There are several reasons one could think of that would lend understanding to why most Americans feel so strongly about this issue, but the underlying is sweet…and simple: Americans treasure their homeland and consider their citizenship in the United States the greatest gift God ever gave them.  Some could argue that most Americans take their United States citizenship for granted, but none can argue that most of us would NEVERintentionally want to live anywhere else.  It’s something that we hold dear to us; it’s something we take for granted only because the majority of us have never had the experience of living abroad or fighting in wars on foreign soil; but I can almost promise you that IF more Americans were forced to live in Equador, Cuba, France, Russia, or Nigeria (and pretty much ANY other country in the world, for the most part) then they would almost certainly and unequivically come to a large amount of gratitude and respect for their homeland.

Seeing our language, culture, and customs being overtaken by foreign influenceis not something that most Americans can idly sit by and watch!  I will admit that there is a fringe group of racists who want nothing to do with the infux of latin-American immigrants, but they represent a fairly small percentage of those vehemently opposing this new measure of Amnesty that George W. Bush (and most of Congress) has recently endorsed.  Personally, I am more angry with our nation’s inability to keep American jobs on American soil as well as the ridiculous amount of federal taxes that we as Americans are FORCED to pay at ever increasing measures!  This idea of granting amnesty to 12 million illegal immigrants (and that number is almost sure to rise to around 40 million once you figure in children, spouses, and other family members) is not far behind from overtaking the seriousness of a flatlining economy, lost jobs, ridiculous taxes, and failed social entitlement programs, however!

What have we done?  Is it too late to change the course of events that are being set in motion by the mongoloids in Washington D.C.?  WHAT HAVE WE AS AMERICANS ALLOWED TO HAPPEN TO US?  IS IT OUR POLITICIAN’S FAULT FOR REPEATEDLY BENDING US OVER THEIR KNEES AND SPANKING US; OR IS IT OUR FAULT FOR CONSTANTLY ELECTING THESE CAREER POLITICIANS WHO HAVE NO INTEREST IN ANYTHING BESIDES LINING THEIR OWN POCKETS AND GETTING RE-ELECTED?  I CONTEND THAT IT IS WITHOUT QUESTION THE FAULT OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND WE HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME THAN OURSELVES!  HOW MANY STUPID, RIDICULOUS, AND IRRESPONSIBLE THINGS DOES TEDDY (hiccup) KENNEDY HAVE TO DO BEFORE HE’S VOTED OUT OF OFFICE?  SERIOUSLY!!!  It’s people/politicians exactly like him (on BOTH sides of the aisle) who have made the types of decisions that have led us to exactly where we are today.  Why are people like him in office?  Because WE put him there!  We keep him there!  The American people should NOT be surprised by the stupid things that stupid people do especially when they’ve been doing this their entire career as a six-figure politician.  It’s because of this fact that I believe the American people should stop “pissing and moaning” about the things they’re unhappy about.  Look in the mirror, my friends!  IT’S YOUR FAULT!  So, the next time Pablo and Juan beat up and steal from your little children on their way to school, make sure you thank yourself for allowing it to happen.  The next time you read about an illegal immigrant driving drunk and killing a family of five on the highway…make sure you take a look in the mirror and thank YOURSELF!  [Obviously, I’m generalizing with those scenerios, but I’m guessing that you’re smart enough to know what I’m getting at.]

THANKS A LOT, PEOPLE!  THANKS A WHOLE HECK OF A LOT!  WE’RE GETTING EXACTLY WHAT WE ASKED FOR…SO WHEN ARE WE GOING TO WAKE UP AND DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT?  That, my friend, is the $7,500 question (which also happens to be the amount of money that each illegal immigrant costs the American tax-payer through lack of paid taxes, medical expenses, entitlements, and welfare) that I’m begging you to answer!

I absolutely can not blame the illegal immigrant for this problem because I can honestly say that if I were holed up in Mexico and had a family to provide for then there’s not a chance in hell I’d stick around to see if the Mexican government could fix the situation or not.  I’d be hopping over that fence quicker than you could say “como estas, muchacho“!!!  And you know that you’d be doing the EXACT same thing, too!  The fault for this ever-growing delima is not with the illegal immigrant, but instead with us.  You and me.  Since we’re the ones who elected a bunch of meatballs to run the federal government then there’s no where to look for placing the blame than at ourselves.  It’s literally as simple as that.

Illegal immigration refers to immigration across national borders in a way that violates the immigration laws of the destination country. Under this definition, an illegal immigrant is a foreigner who either illegally crossed an international political border, be it by land, sea or air, or a foreigner who legally entered a country but nevertheless overstay their visa in order to live and/or work therein. In politics, the term may imply a larger set of social issues and time constraints with disputed consequences in areas such as economy, social welfare, education, health care, slavery, prostitution, crime, legal protections, public services, and human rights. Illegal emigration would be leaving a country in a manner that violates the laws of the country being left.

Since when did it become a constitutional issue to protect gay-pride parades that endorse some of the most grotesque actions between human beings and animals, but at the same time be unconstitutional for communities to place Nativity scenes on public grounds during Christmas time?  I wonder if “amoral” is even the best word to use when describing our current societal situation?  I’ll let you be the judge of that, but first, allow me to define “amoral” for you as: having no moral standards, restraints, or principles; unaware of or indifferent to questions of right or wrong: a completely amoral person.  Does this sound like a tight fit for the society in which we live?

Now, I’m not at all attacking the “gay community” by claiming that gay-pride parades are grotesque.  It’s just an opinion of what I’ve actually seen depicted on television and in magazines.  Even the most benign person with little regard to the whole idea of homosexuality will often times be very uncomfortable with the images depicted from these parades of “individuality” and “expression”.  I feel the same way about “Black Panther” parades or “KKK” parades!  It’s an extreme and fanatical expression that hardly is needed by its core group, but because we live in America and because we have so many individual freedoms it is completely acceptable to be a part of or endorse these activities.  Yet, the question still remains!  Why are actions such as these parades so protected, but Nativity scenes during Christmas time under attack?  Why did the Boulder, Colorado School District allow for a whacked-out psychologist to come speak to school children about using drugs and engaging in sexual activities?  Yeah…this is for real and I’m not making this stuff up!  A school district in Boulder, CO actually paid to have a psychologist from (where else) the Bay Area of California come speak to their children and not only advocate, but endorse the use of drugs, alcohol, gay sex, and straight sex!  Not only did this school district set up this event, but they FORCED their students to attend the convocation!  What is wrong with our society these days?  Where did we go wrong and where are we headed?

Violent crimes are increasing; teen pregnancies are always present; hate-crimes are on the rise; student drop-outs continue to thrive, especially in big cities; video games and television are becoming more sexual and violent on a yearly basis; kids are more obeese than ever; fivolous law suits are becoming more and more obsurd; the family-unit is becoming as scarce as the bald eagle; sexual crimes and misconduct are being reported at a record level; drug use is on the rise with new designer drugs appearing on the street every couple of years; it’s now more likely that you’ll be divorced than end your life with the same partner you began with; kids are growing up in broken homes; the father-figure is under attack by feminist groups; and we’re forced to learn about new political scandals every other week!  The list could, unfortunately, go on and on.  It’s unfortunate that a nation as rich and as blessed as America can have so many social problems with hardly any solutions offered by our leaders.  The newest social disaster is the fact that our kids are simply NOT safe at their schools due to the rise in school violence and shootings!  These events are covered by the “main scream media” like they’re red-carpet events held by our Hollywood icons!  What are kids supposed to think when they see such sensationalistic coverage of such harrowing events as these?  I’m afraid to say that we have hit a breaking point in our society.  Yes, it is safe to say that we are traveling down a road that is undoubtedly leading to nowhere.

Al Gore spreads his gospel of global warming as if there’s actually something to save this planet for.  He seems to care more for the section of Crab Grass on your front lawn that he does for the twelve-year old student in junior high school who is at high risk of ruining his life through drugs, sex, violence, or crime!  Why should we protect this earth for “future generations” when we’re not at all concerned about what type of “future generation” we’re actually producing?  Seriously…why should we even care what Al Gore has to say or whether you want to drive a gas guzzling SUV versus a nappy-looking hybrid?  If the people we’re creating to inhabit this earth in the future are so destructive and hopeless then does it even matter?  This is a theory that could be discussed ad nauseum by people with opposing points of view, but to no avail.  There are simply too many people with critical positions in our society’s development of children as well as our legislation who believe that we’re on a good track.  Where’s the proof to oppose this way of thinking?  Well, it’s quantitative evidence that shows exactly what we as Americans are thinking in regards to specific issues and it’s only this type of evidence that I can submit to you.

Below, I will post some charts that represent data taken from a survey of several thousand individuals regarding social issues in America.  I will not attempt to translate this data because I would like for you to do that yourself.  I’m guessing that it may alarm most of you, but for the secular progressives who think we’re already on the right track I’m sure it won’t prove a thing.  I hope you enjoy the data and I hope it doesn’t ruin you day. Americans For Fair Taxation - About the FairTax

Is there enough motivation in your soul to make a difference in something that you feel is an important issue?  I wonder if many of us would sit back and allow the rocks of life to pummel us without reaction or if we’d stand up against them and find a way to improve the situation?  My best guess is that most of us would do what we could to rectify any situation we were at all uncomfortable with.  I believe this because of what the fabric of America is made of…hard work, relentless efforts, visions of betterment, and the classic American characteristics…innovation and achievement!  We have a long history of standing up to oppressors, fixing what is broken, and making our lives better and more efficient.  From expansionism to the pioneers; from slavery to the equal rights movement; from the Great Depression to the economic boom of the 1990’s, we have always been a nation where common sense prevailed and elbow grease garnered all of our efforts.  With such a rich and envious heritage tied to the lineage of nearly every American family today it is surprising to me that we have allowed ourselves to once again become oppressed by usurpers of power who have made it their career to look out for themselves and line their pockets by conducting “back room deals” far away from the American public and their constituency.  The career politicians we have grown accustomed to have been hitting us where it hurts since the 1940’s, yet rarely is there a voice raised in concern amongst us.  Rarely is there a vociferous moment conducted by the masses that illustrates our frustrations to those whom absolute power has corrupted absolutely.

Since the days of Franklin Delanno Roosevelt, we have been told what entitlements we will fund, what laws we will abide by, what bureaucracy we will have to deal with, and what amount of taxes we will have to pay.  In the society that we have allowed to be created right under our noses is dependent upon federal tax revenues, but never have we been asked just how much of our hard-earned monies we would be willing to submit for the better of the country.  Everything in our society is tied to taxes.  Everything includes the embarrassing and failed social security and medicare funds, which are multi-trillion dollar ideas built upon the backs of the American tax payer without his consent.  I wonder how much more responsible our career criminal politicians would be with our money if entitlement programs and tax rates were put to referendum?  It’s a great question, but sadly it’s a question that will have to remain rhetorical.  I doubt very highly that the fat cats we have put in
Washington D.C. would ever relinquish an ounce of power that they didn’t absolutely have to.  We have created this current financial mess out sheer laziness conducted by the average American because we have allowed ourselves to be so easily marketed to due to our reluctance to vote in mass numbers.  Roughly one-third of Americans over the age of 18 vote on a regular basis, which is embarrassing to think of the men and women who gave their lives in order for all of us to have the opportunity to vote in a free and democratic republic.  It is precisely because of this lack of interest that the American citizen is showing that we have become oppressed by the very government we have ignored.  Since the days of FDR’s “Great Society”, the American worker has been burdened with taxes on a federal, state, and local level never before seen in our land.

During the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln endorsed and implemented a roughly 2% income tax in order to fund the war effort.  I don’t believe there are too many Americans who can argue against such a measure because of what was at stake.  Americans have always been willing to open their hearts and wallets in order to help a cause, but what Abraham Lincoln did after the war was over is what made him the type of man who will go down in history as one of our nation’s best leaders of all time.  After the war was completed and after reconstruction efforts were in place, President Lincoln repealed the tax and allowed Americans to contribute on a personal and private basis if they so desired.  This, my fellow American citizen, is exactly what our founding father’s had in mind when they bled for the document currently enshrined in weather-proof glass at the National Archives Building in Washington D.C., the Constitution of the United States of America.  Aside from seeking religious freedoms, it was the oppressive government and laws of England that they were fleeing when the idea of “ America” became a reality.  It was the tax burdens that England forced upon the early colonies that was the straw that broke the camel’s back and sent us over the edge.  It was this issue that our founding father’s made sure was a vital part of the governing document they created in Philadelphia back in 1776.  So why have we turned a full 180 degrees from what was supposed to be to what we are being forced to deal with today?  What happened along the way that allowed the federal government to reach into our pockets and legally withhold a specified percentage of our wages?  How did we as a people so carelessly allow for this to happen when we’re supposed to be the nation who stands up to oppressors and rights that which has been wronged?  How on earth have we allowed an entire political party of modern times to build a platform around how much one group of society is taxed compared to how much another group is taxed?  When and why have we allowed our politicians to build a pulpit to preach their gospel from when everything that they are preaching is contrary to our best interests and the best interests of the Constitution?  Is it not clearly written in that God-inspired document that government oppression by any and all means is strictly forbidden and that states should be (and are expected to be) able to govern themselves?

Many can trace the roots of failed entitlements and the beginnings of taxation oppression back to FDR and his “Great Society” legislation.  It was no accident that his “Great Society” legislations were passed as constitutionally acceptable by the Supreme Court.  Few people actually know that FDR threatened to load the Supreme Court with two additional justices that would tip the balance in favor of his great socialistic ideals.  Due to this pressure from the executive branch, the Supreme Court caved in and granted constitutionality to FDR’s ideas.  From this blunder in American history we have been strapped with the social security and medicare fund, which currently are as close to bankruptcy as MC Hammer was after he wrote “2 Legit 2 Quit”!  Trillions and trillions of dollars have been taken out of the social security and medicare fund in order to pay for politician’s pork that have served no purpose other than to lift the ego of one or two individuals.  The idea of social security and medicare isn’t too bad because it helps Americans get by during times of uncertainty and/or grief (survivor’s benefits), but the fallacy of the “Great Society” is that no American was or has been able to choose for himself whether or not he wanted to take place in this attempt of American socialism.  It was either “pay the social security tax” or “go to jail”.  Simple as that.  What’s American about that?  Today, the “Great Society” has turned us into a fiscal nightmare and all of the money that today’s generation is pouring into these mandatory social funds will not be there for them.  With these massive problems starring us directly in the face there has still been NO solution posited by any of the career politicians we have sent to represent us in our nation’s capital…until today!  The Fair Tax Act (S.25/H.25) is exactly the type of legislation that we need to pass into law if we are to find a way out of the mess that FDR and his grandious visions of socialism have created.  Instead of taxing our businesses into oblivion, forcing our uber-rich citizens to place their wealth in foreign off-shore banks, enabling a massive shadow economy to exist right under our noses, or adding compliance costs of today’s tax code into consideration, the Fair Tax would alleviate these issues, give the money back to the wage earner, and FIX the fiscal problems we currently find ourselves in.  What is the Fair Tax Act, you ask?  Allow me to outline it as best I can!  [go to http://www.fairtax.org for additional information…] (more…)

FEDERALIST PAPERS – Federalist No. 21

Other Defects of the Present Confederation [For the Independent Journal.]

Author: Alexander Hamilton

To the People of the State of New York:

HAVING in the three last numbers taken a summary review of the principal

circumstances and events which have depicted the genius and fate of other confederate

governments, I shall now proceed in the enumeration of the most important of those

defects which have hitherto disappointed our hopes from the system established among

ourselves. To form a safe and satisfactory judgment of the proper remedy, it is absolutely

necessary that we should be well acquainted with the extent and malignity of the disease.

The next most palpable defect of the subsisting Confederation, is the total want of a

SANCTION to its laws. The United States, as now composed, have no powers to exact

obedience, or punish disobedience to their resolutions, either by pecuniary mulcts, by a

suspension or divestiture of privileges, or by any other constitutional mode. There is no

express delegation of authority to them to use force against delinquent members; and if

such a right should be ascribed to the federal head, as resulting from the nature of the

social compact between the States, it must be by inference and construction, in the face of

that part of the second article, by which it is declared, “that each State shall retain every

power, jurisdiction, and right, not EXPRESSLY delegated to the United States in

Congress assembled.” There is, doubtless, a striking absurdity in supposing that a right of

this kind does not exist, but we are reduced to the dilemma either of embracing that

supposition, preposterous as it may seem, or of contravening or explaining away a

provision, which has been of late a repeated theme of the eulogies of those who oppose

the new Constitution; and the want of which, in that plan, has been the subject of much

plausible animadversion, and severe criticism. If we are unwilling to impair the force of

this applauded provision, we shall be obliged to conclude, that the United States afford

the extraordinary spectacle of a government destitute even of the shadow of constitutional

power to enforce the execution of its own laws. It will appear, from the specimens which

have been cited, that the American Confederacy, in this particular, stands discriminated

from every other institution of a similar kind, and exhibits a new and unexampled

phenomenon in the political world. (more…)

At Regent University, Governor Romney Speaks About The Importance Of Family:

Governor Romney: “If there ever was a time for great Americans, great and good Americans, Americans who are willing to cross into the deep waters of life, it is now. You cross into the deep waters of life by marrying and raising good children. There is no work more important to America’s future than the work that is done within the four walls of the American home….” (Governor Mitt Romney, Remarks At Regent University, Virginia Beach, VA, 5/5/07)

Zogby: Romney Rockets!

Latest New Hampshire telephone poll shows Romney’s support nearly doubles to 25% to tie McCain; Giuliani trails at 19%

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has rocketed to the top of the field of contenders for the New Hampshire Republican presidential primary crown, running dead even with Arizona Sen. John McCain at 25% each, a new Zogby International telephone poll shows. With Romney’s ascension, the GOP presidential race looks just like the Democratic contest – a three–way battle! While McCain has held mostly steady at the top of the Republican field in New Hampshire, losing just one point since January, Romney has made the big move up from 13% two months ago. Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York who is the toast of Republican primary voters nationally, finds himself in third place in the Granite State at 19% support, falling slightly from 20% in January to 19% this week.

Fred Thompson, the actor and former senator from Tennessee won 6% support in this latest survey of 502 likely New Hampshire Republican primary voters, which was conducted April 2-3, 2007, and contains a margin of error of +/- 4.5 percentage points.

Pollster John Zogby: “Score this as a big week for Mitt Romney. These poll numbers, together with the small increase in Iowa and a huge fund–raising effort, puts him into the top tier and makes him a major player in the race for the GOP nomination. John McCain’s support stays steady and makes him a contender and gives him a boost in an otherwise lackluster week. Move over, Rudy. You’ve got a real race on your hands!” (more…)

The Indiana Pacers have been my favorite NBA franchise since I was a little kid.  Back in the 1980’s, they were one of the most gut-wrenching teams to watch in the entire league despite their perennial lottery draft picks year after year.  Coaches of high caliber would come and go, but the same players seemed to remain on the roster year after year.  Granted, most of the names did change, but the type of player was always the same.  Chuck Persons was a bright spot for a couple of years, but his overall work-ethic and volatile personality pretty much relegated him as a type of player who would never make his team any better than they already were.  He scored points…”he got his”…but his team would always come up short when it was all said and done.

Then the Pacers organization did something that would later affect their franchise for almost two full decades.  They drafted a scrawny marksman from UCLA who went by the name of “Reggie Miller“.  By the end of his career, Reggie would not only own the hearts of every Hoosier in the “basketball state” of Indiana, but he would also own a lot of NBA records that will probably be safe for years to come.  No one can shoot the ball quite like Reggie could because the type of player that the NBA is producing these days is more concerned with appearing on the next showing of ESPN and what their clever buddies sitting behind the booths would say about them and their “wicked” abilities.  Stewart Scott is one of the worst at this.  He never holds any of his hood-rat, thug-buddies accountable, but instead thinks of clever things to say about them when they jump sixteen feet in the air and dunk the ball.  The fundamentals of the game have weakened in the past decade and players like Reggie Miller are now few and far between.  They just don’t make ’em like they used to and to the more astute basketball fan today there is less and less of an attractive product placed on the courts of NBA franchises.  The days of watching Stockton and Malone run the pick and roll to perfection; Magic Johnson playing all five positions on the court with amazing success; Michael Jordan freezing us in our seats as he performed some of the most amazing feats all while he involved his entire team; Larry Bird stepping back and effortlessly sinking a thirty-foot shot; and so on…those days are gone.  Now, we’re stuck with the disgusting thuggery of Allen Iverson, Carmella Anthony, Ron Artest, Stephen Jackson, and Kobe Bryant (a never-ending soap opera).  These individuals are all brilliant with the ball, but their leadership abilities and overall team management philosophy is non-existent.

It’s darn-right miserable trying to be a fan of the NBA these days, but if I had complete control of my favorite team (the Indiana Pacers) and the sky was the limit then these are things I would focus on with the purpose of turning the team’s future around AND putting a product on the court that the good people of Indiana could rally behind:

1.  I would get on my knees and beg Rick Carlisle to come back.  I would offer him a contract of his desire and wouldn’t hesitate to give him seven to ten years…guaranteed.  Carlisle was the lone bright-spot for the Pacers during these very troubling years of late.  The fact that he DIDN’T receive the Coach of the Year honors in 2005 for holding that team together after the infamous “Brawl in Detroit” while still getting the team into the playoffs is a baffling mystery to me and a complete black-eye for the NBA.  Rick Carlisle has proved that he possesses the tools to be a top-tier NBA coach and by losing him we have lost a lot of hope in the future. 3. You have to believe that guns, in the hands of law-abiding Americans, are more of a threat than U.S. nuclear weapons technology, in the hands of Islamofascists.
    4. You have to believe that there was no art before Federal funding.
    5. You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by cyclical, documented changes in the earth’s climate, and more affected by yuppies driving SUVs.
    6. You have to believe that gender roles are artificial but being homosexual is natural.

* Note: when I first wrote this essay I had no idea that Boise State would end up beating Oklahoma in one of the best college football games since Notre Dame vs. Penn State in ’93!  The result of the Broncos beating up on the Sooners is that the evidence pointing towards the necessity of a BCS Playoff is now more important and legitimate than ever before!  Enjoy!

For the few who may end up reading this because you’re bored or lonely, it is my hope to educate you in an important issue that affects so many lives today.  No, I’m not referring to AIDS in Africa, the mistreatment of midgets, or the growing rates of pregnant women abusing crack cocaine!  The simple fact is, I’m not referring to anything that has to do with actual life or death (well, unless you’re a Vegas junkie with more on the line than your butt can vouch for or if you’re dealing with a couple of Soprano-like jug heads who want their money, plus interest…), but instead something that has everything to do with the greatest sport on God’s green earth!  College freakin’ football, baby!!!

In case you’re completely oblivious to the issue at hand, allow me to inform you of the growing hodgepodge and botheration of bugaboo corporate vandalism in the realm of NCAA football.  What we have here is a massive failure to communicate in the most basic of ways brought about by nothing more than pure despotism from corporate America and university presidents.  On one hand, you have the overwhelming majority of America screaming and clamoring for a playoff system (of some sort) that would finally and for the first time have the clear-cut national champion shining in the lights of football history!  On the other hand, you have the over-weight and greasy-haired fat cats of corporate America sitting next to the ivory tower acadamiac socialists from our nation’s finest institutions of higher learning who are single handedly caulking the establishment of a spectacle of sports that would be second to none…a playoff system in college football that would crown a clear cut king with no questions asked!  Mitt Romney for President…FOR REAL!!!  If you don’t know him by now then you soon will because this former Governor of Massachussetts is really beginning to build up a ton of momentum in the national polls.  There’s still a ton of work to do and a ton of people to convince, but if you get to know him then you will undoubtedly come to the conclusion that there is no alternative.  He’s the only person with ideas that can be considered original and “non-systematic” of Washington D.C. and he’s the only man in the entire field (left or right) who has the moral compass necessary to lead us as leaders rightly should!  Mitt Romney will be POTUS and will go down as one of the best American Presidents in our nation’s history…but only if YOU allow him to be by voting for him!

A lot of people have made an issue about Mitt Romney’s religious background as being his sole weakness, but I contend that issue to the fullest.  His religious background should be looked at as an absolute strength because it is his core religious belief that the American family is the most important factor in the society that we live in and it is the American family that is under attack.  Without a strong family unit there can be no collective strength for America as a whole.  It is his religious belief that all men were created equal…exactly as the Constitution states.  You will never be able to say that Mitt Romney made a decision because his religion dictated it and you will never see his religion enter the arena of politics because they simply do not do that.  Unlike other religions who endorse candidates during the middle of their Sunday sermons, his religion is completely apolitical regardless of religious affiliation.  If that isn’t refreshing then I don’t know what is!  Mitt Romney is considered to be the “King Midas” of the business world and every business he has gotten his hands on have benefited immensely from his decision making abilities and leadership.  This is EXACTLY what we need in Washington D.C. and if the media were to allow the people to view Governor Romney as an individual instead of a religious icon then he would certainly be leading the GOP field of potential nominees by high double-digits!  Romney recently made an address at Regent University where he calmly and collectedly spoke about someone other than himself, which is something one could expect from any other political nominee.  Here is an excerpt from his speech, which is being talked about around the country as his “Deep Waters” speech:

‘Over the years, I have watched a number of people live out their lives in shallow water. In the shallows, life is all about yourself – your job, your money, your rights, your needs, your ideas, your comforts. In the deeper waters, life is about others – spouse, family, friends, faith, community, country. In the deep waters, there are challenging ideas, opposing opinions, protracted battles of consequence. You are, of course, giving a great deal of thought to your career. The economic environment may be more turbulent and competitive than my generation has known. Some of you will be tempted to stay near shore, where there are no big breakers and where you will never make any waves. Others will push beyond the sandbar, pursuing new frontiers, exploring new ideas, driving to achieve, to learn, to influence, to contribute. If there ever was a time for great Americans, great and good Americans, Americans who are willing to cross into the deep waters of life, it is now. You cross into the deep waters by marrying and raising good children. There is no work more important to America’s future that the work that is done within the four walls of the American home. You cross into the deep waters by driving yourself in your education and in your avocation beyond the safe and comfortable, to reach new insights, to make contributions, to serve. You cross into the deep waters by serving in your church, in your community, in the military, in government or in volunteer service. I am optimistic about the future of America because I have seen the spirit and heart of the American people.’  (more…)

Recently, Keif Olbermann was exposed as a “wanna-be ladies man” by a woman whom he apparently treated like a stray cat.  We all know how stray cats are treated, too.  Here’s the NY Post article that exposed Olbermann as a pompus numbskull who is apparently in need of the internet to find his women:

KEITH: LOW RATINGS IN BED

October 9, 2006 — A BROWN-haired beauty who claims she had an unsatisfying one-night stand with Keith Olbermann is getting her sweet revenge – she’s launched a blog to warn other women about the acerbic MSNBC commentator’s boorish bedroom habits.

The bitter babe, who calls herself KarmaBites1, says she doesn’t want others “to fall into the same trap . . . and I want him to feel some remorse for what he’s done . . . He sets his mind on a woman, lures her in, and once he gets what he wants, he refuses to ever speak to them again. And I don’t think he understands the damage he’s caused.”

A 30-something office worker of Caribbean descent, KarmaBites1 said she struck up an e-mail friendship with Olbermann, whom she admired, and agreed to fly to New York to meet him last May. She says he came to her hotel room and opened a bottle of Merlot which he “spilled all over.” Then, when “sexual activity began [in] less than an hour,” Olbermann had difficulty. “I pretended he knew what he was doing,” the embittered blogger writes. “I adored the guy. I didn’t want him to think he was a dud in bed,” so she faked experiencing ecstasy. (more…)

As someone much more intelligent than myself once said about literature: “Outside of a dog, a book is a man’s best friend.  Inside of a dog, it’s too dark to read”.

Welcome to the mind of Nostromos…the repository keg of opinions!
